Our Story

Michelle Robinson founded A Butcher Shoppe & A Bit More to bring fine meats and products to the Vero Beach community nearly fifteen years ago. Along the way, the shop has been a focal point and a great barometer of of Vero Beach and its growth. Lisa Thompson took over the shop two years ago and realized business was not her favorite part of being in the butcher business. 

In the summer of 2026, Lisa approached a regular customer with a proposition to buy the shop. This tech guy from Seattle also happens to be a bit of a foodie and really wanted the butcher shop to stay in business, continue serving the community and bring some new things into the shop while maintaining the needs of existing customers. That tech guy roped two of his friends in to buy the shop with him. And now, honestly, their wives make most of the decisions. 

We are building a farm to table program, bringing in some high end products and we will be carrying beer and wine later this year. Our goal is to build a premier butcher and provisions shop where you can order online, order delivery, come in and browse and get to try new things. We hope you love it.
